Easter Weekend and the Start of Spring
Well we made it through Easter and the first warm weekend of the year. It’s amazing what temps above 60 degrees do for a Puget Sounder. I think by 10am on Saturday I had short shorts on and already had my shirt off doing yard work. A little vitamin D goes a long way around these parts.
I’m officially making a goal for myself this spring to slow down and smell the roses. Figuratively and literally. Last year was so much of a push to get our new house and property cleaned up that I can hardly remember any moments of relaxing. While the to-do list is still long, it’s not quite as pressing, and for the most part, the property is in good and welcoming shape.
This is, however, the final push through for a year-long community leadership program I’ve been taking part in. We are in the final phases of our project and in sort of a mad dash to tie up our loose ends and put the bow on the whole package. I’ll save the project details for another post, but it’s a big focus for me right now.
All that said, I am so happy it’s spring and that this time of year is a little easier-going than last year. A spring full of BBQs, camping, and garden projects sounds mighty good to me right now.
