Yep. I bought a new camera. I’ve been thinking about getting one for a few years now, and I finally pulled the trigger. I got a promotion right around Christmas so the timing worked out really well to justify a purchase.
When I say I bought a camera, I don’t mean another DSLR. Or another film camera. I’ve got enough of those floating around all corners of my house. I bought a drone. Specifically, a DJI Mini 2. Like I said, I’ve been debating buying a drone for years but never thought it was necessary or worth the money. Well I bucked up and splurged, excited to start experimenting with a whole new avenue of photo and video possibilities. I’ve only gotten it out twice, the first time not even taking a single photo or video. At least on purpose. I accident got one bad picture of the top of I house. The second time though, I got a little more brave and flew it around the lower end of the neighborhood right in the blue hour after sunset.
To keep this post short, I’ll just say I’m super stoked to keep messing around with this thing. I’ve been imagining what I’d do with it for a long time, and I guess now it’s time to start figuring it out.
This is my first test video and I’m actually pretty proud of it being my first. It’s only up from here, no pun intended.
